How old does my child need to be? Starting at Kindergarten your child is eligible to play. Children are able to play from Kindergarten to 8th Grade.

What size ball does my child need? This ball size is determined by the age of your child:
How are the teams determined? Teams are selected by grouping grades together:
Can siblings play on the same team? If the siblings are within the same grade grouping, like 1st and 2nd grade, we will try to place your children on the same team.
Who’s my Child’s coach? The Coaches and Assistant Coaches for all teams are volunteers. In accordance with SAY, each of the coaches will complete a background check form. The background check form is for the safety of our children. The Coach will be contacting you via a phone call, prior to practice beginning in August.
What do the children need for practice? o Wear shin guards covered by socks o Bring a drink, preferably water o Please no earrings, watches, bracelets or necklaces o Soccer shoes When will practices start? Practice dates, times and places are determined by the Coach and Assistant Coach. Most practices begin in August.
How long are practices generally? The Coach and Assistant Coach will determine the length of time of the practices. Most practices will be between 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
What are the dates and times for the games? Game schedules will be handed out during on the first practices, including a roster of the children on your child’s team.

If I volunteer when should I be contacted with information what to do? Once the completed volunteer form is completed and processed, the Chair of that specific area will be contacting the volunteers. In some cases, we may be asking you to complete a background check form for the safety of our children.
How do I join the board? Please contact any one of the board members. The list of all board members and current positions are posted at www.flywaysoccer.org.
