How old does my child need to be?
Starting at age 4, children are eligible to play through age 10 will play all games in Brownsville.

Ages 12-14 play games home and away in the Kettle Moraine Soccer League.  These teams play under the Brownsville Blue Heron name.

High School age players play games home and away in the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association's South East Classic League.  These games are played throughout southeastern Wisconsin and the team plays under the Brownsville Blue Heron name.

What schools participate in the Brownsville League?
The North District Soccer Association includes the following school districts:

  • Oakfield Public School
  • North Fond du Lac Schools
  • Rosendale Schools

What if I miss the registration deadline?
All registrations received after the deadline listed on the Registration tab will have an additional late fee and are subject to approval by the North District Flyway board of directors.  

What is the refund policy?
The NDFSA will not issue refunds at anytime for any reason, please be sure that your child is committed to playing soccer.

How are the teams determined?
For ages 4-14 birth year with school district cutoff date of September 1st are used to group children and we do our best to keep children from the same school together.  For high school ages the teams are determined by full birth year.

Can siblings play on the same team?
If the siblings are within the same age grouping, we will try to place your children on the same team.

Who's my Child's coach?
The Coaches and Assistant Coaches for all teams are volunteers. In accordance with WYSA, each of the coaches will complete a background check. The background check is for the safety of our children. The Coach will be contacting you via a phone call or an email prior to practice beginning in August.  We also will be utilizing the sportsengine app for team communications and schedules beginning in the fall of 2024.  

What do the children need for practice?

  • Wear shin guards.
  • A soccer ball
  • Bring a drink, preferably water
  • Please no loose earrings, watches, bracelets or necklaces
  • Soccer cleats are recommended but not required, other sport cleats that are not soccer specific are prohibited.

When will practices start?
Practice dates, times and places are determined by the Coach. Most practices begin the end of July or beginning of August for Fall seasons.  For spring seasons practices will typically begin at the halfway point of March.  

How long are practices generally?
The Coach will determine the length of time of the practices. Most practices will be be 1-2 hours depending on the age group.

What are the dates and times for the games?
Game schedules will be available online prior to the beginning of the season.  6U and 10U will play on Thursday nights with 5U and 8U playing Tuesday nights. Games for 5U-10U run August through September.   12U and 14U play mostly Saturdays with a few weeknights in the Kettle Moraine Soccer League.  Games run from September through October for 12U and 14U.  

How do I join the board?

Is there a policy regarding carry-ins?
The NDFSA relies on revenue from the concession stand to keep your registration fees low. Therefore carry-ins are not allowed during league play, this includes weeknight games and Festival games. However, a light team snack and/or drink provided to players after the game are acceptable. Team Pizza parties and the like should be held during weekly practices or when concession stand is not operating.

Due to the number of children we have in the North District Flyway Soccer Association we are unable to meet all special requests.
